Pregnancy scans are an essential part of your pregnancy journey, and we pride ourselves on the fact that we perform all scans and tests with the latest 3D ultrasound technology. We try to provide 3D images where possible for all pregnancy scans.

We also provide general gynaecological scans to diagnose and treat endometriosis, sources of pelvic pain and other gynaecological issues. Remember to give us a call on the first day of your period cycle, so that we can book you in for all of your gynaecological scans.

Dating Scans

These scans help to determine the age and size of the fetus, the number of fetuses, a heartbeat, and whether there are any unusual features, such as fibroids and cysts.

The Journey

Nuchal Translucency or First Trimester Morphology Scan

This scan will assess the health of your baby during your first trimester including:

• Down’s Syndrome or other chromosomal abnormalities
• Early detection of major structural abnormalities.

We will also provide you with a blood test form that is completely bulk billed.

Early Fetal Morphology Scan

If there are any concerns regarding the well being of your baby and risk of structural anomalies in your baby, an early fetal morphology scan can help identify or exclude these condition without waiting toil the formal morphology scan at 19-20 weeks.

Morphology Scan

Your obstetrician/gynaecologist may recommend these scans to review the detailed structure of your baby or babies and to determine placental position and cervical length.

Fetal Growth Scan

These scans may be recommended by your obstetrician/gynaecologist to ensure the development of your baby or babies is progressing as it should.

General Gynaecological Scans

Pelvic Scan (performed between day 5 – 11 of period cycle)

Sonohysterogram (performed between day 5 – 11 of period cycle)

This test is used to confirm tubal patency and identify other issues of the uterus and ovaries.
